Event Description

Navigating Eviction - Part III: Navigating Options and Minimizing Impact

As a nation, we find ourselves facing the historic threat of mass residential evictions alongside a national health crisis. Although the ban on evictions has provided temporary relief to millions of Americans, recent data shows that 14 million Americans are currently behind on their rent. During this time of crisis, Housing Counselors are expected to be a reliable and knowledgeable resource for renters and other community members. More than ever counselors will need to have the ability to deliver valuable information in a counseling session, maintain an awareness of best practices, and provide tools and resources to help households avoid and recover from eviction.

You Will Learn:

  • Explore tenant responsibilities
  • Examine transition options
  • Review resources & tools
  • Discuss recovery and stability post-eviction
