WB131: Introduction to Homeownership Counseling - Part I

Pre-Recorded Webinar

 

This series will provide an overview of the information needed for homeownership counseling. This course will include basic skills such as 1) How to create an action plan for maximum results 2) Understanding Mortgage terms, 3) Understanding Mortgage programs, and 4) Importance of being a good neighbor. With a focus on coaching the client, this course will give a new counselor the first steps towards effective one-on-one counseling session with prospective homeowners. 

Objectives:

• Become proficient at creating action plans that get results

• Become knowledgeable about mortgage terms and how to explain them

• Basic understanding of mortgage programs and how they work

• Learn how to explain the importance of basic home maintenance concepts: physical and financial to support sustainable homeownership
