WB107: Financial Capability - Taking Financial Literacy to the Next Level
In celebration of Financial Capability Month, NCRC is offering this webinar to review how financial socialization, education, counseling and coaching techniques can be combined to produce successful and planned outcomes for your clients. We will examine why financial capability is important in our housing counseling world and how it happens. Our discussion of the similarities and differences between financial counseling, coaching and education will help housing counselors know when to use each technique to facilitate a financially capable outcome for consumers. We will look at the recently distributed ALICE (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) household data and discuss the resources we can use to better engage the people we are privileged to serve.
