EL101: Module 1 - Financial Management
This module has four sub modules. Module 1.1 explains budgets, tracking income and expenses, and goal setting. Action plans are explained so they can be completed in a way that satisfies HUD requirements. Module 1.2 helps learners know how to analyze a credit report, the factors that go into the creation of credit scores and how to help consumers correct errors and improve their credit. Consumer rights are a focus, and the specific acts that we cover include the Fair Credit reporting Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act. Module 1.3 provides banking basics, investing, and income tax credits. Module 1.4 explains predatory lending, identity theft, and bankruptcy.
